Dann war es gar kein Problem, dass ich ne Dreiviertelstunde da bleibe und das Teil ersetze.

Last year, I repaired a 1950s StroboConn mechanical chromatic tuner to use in my saxophone repair shop, which I have built in to an old Airstream trailer. I did a work trade with a sax repair customer and friend by the name of Tyler Anderson, who created this sort of showcase video of the repair shop and the StroboConn in action.

Went to visit my 93 yo father in law at the weekend. Unfortunately he was devastated that a garden ornament he'd bought with his, now deceased, partner nearly 40 years ago had cracked in the frost.
Never tried to fix broken ceramic before and while it's far from perfect it left him with a smile on his face.
Repairer: A valued member of any tribe or village, this repairman or repair-woman can fix most commonly used tools, but often has the junk crafting skill and a fairly good chance of knowing one or more areas as a technician.

It must have happened.
The parts unit also has the cartridge tube stuck. Trying an isopropyl alcohol soak, may add thermal cycling on top of that to dislodge. I also ordered some internal pipe wrenches which might work but will have to think that through, as I don't want to make the problem worse like the prior owner of my first unit did and I don't want to scratch or deform anything even a little.

I can not find anyone to back the idea of opening one of the larger empty stores with small lock-ups for crafts people. Not just making but also repairing a sort of high street 'Repair Shop'.
Be a bit difficult to include a blacksmith, but could be possible using the kitchen with it's extractors!

Completed my latest jigsaw, a so-called Wasgij where the puzzle is the view 180 degrees from the image on the box. I am not clever enough
to figure that out for myself so always find the 'answer' on the web. Wasgijs - jigsaw spelt backwards - are fun and relaxing but can be a bit same-same. I enjoyed the Repair Shop theme though - such a great TV show.
