Finally got hold of the relatively rare 1983 Rentaghost Annual (I think this might have been the only one they did). Quite the nostalgia trip. I'll probably do a review video of this, maybe in the new year.

Top fact - Mrs Meaker is played by Ann Emery, whose brother was Dick Emery.
And I knew that Mr Meaker lookalike tailors dummy would lead to some hilarious consequences!

"Rentaghost" on BBC4 shortly.
I met Edward Brayshaw (Mr Meaker) in the late 80s. He claimed that in series 1 the Meakers had a baby called Nigel who was turned into a pork chop and never mentioned again. If the cast wanted to annoy Bob Block in later years they would ask him "Whatever happened to Baby Nigel?"
This was almost true I discovered later - Nigel did exist, was turned into a dog although was turned back, but he did vanish!
