The only downside is that the English version's voices skip over any Japanese text lol, which makes sense. The voice system in the Japanese version does speak any English input that you have, plus you can add yomigana to help it out

I'm gonna stick to only playing in Japanese tho because some of these voices sound so cursed in English LOL 😭 (I mean, they do in Japanese too lol, but at least there I've gotten used to them)

I need to unlock more colors, right now my choices to recolor stuff are red, yellow, black, and white, and those colors tend to clash with EVERYTHING 😫 Wish I could also put outlines around individual components as well (e.g. have an outline around the text to make it stand out from the background images)

After beating the trainers in Sprout Tower, I remembered that I can technically enter Route 46 (tho only the very bottom part of the path, obviously I can't go all the way up Mt. Silver) and caught some more good guys, including a Fire-type Corsola... would've been nice to have you before I went to Sprout Tower 😩

Taking on the interminable Sprout Tower 😑 This was already kind of an underwhelming place in the original (full of trainers who ONLY send out Bellsprout? bleh) made even more tedious here since Bellsprout is Steel-type and thus resists everything except (so far) Bayleef's and Pidgey's fighting attacks...

I made a new save file because I noticed that Fool's Gold devs released a v1.3.2, which both brings new content and also is the final release, so I figured I might as well check that out. You can see my travels from my first save here:

I made Daikon play through the first day of the first case in Japanese and we were both just cracking up. I need to stress that even tho I am clowning hard on this game it is entertaining as hell and we both love it lmfao. Like, check out the demo (this first case with Mio) and see if you vibe with this kinda thing because when it is good it is SO GOOD

It is an INCREDIBLY GOOFY game, and I kind of love it in the same way I love every earnest B-movie. I am screaming shit like "DON'T GO IN THERE" at the screen, I am getting really into it, don't go in expecting Paranormasight but rather a super schlocky funny as fuck B-movie with a cast of amateurs and a real heavy hand on the dramatic framing. I kind of love it?? Even tho it is like, kinda unintentionally goofy??
