I just installed it in my car and once it sync'd all 6,000 files on my USB stick (FAT32 formatted) it was able to shuffle all, display art and find track much faster than the default MP3 player. #ev

The #Renault5 earned its keep at the weekend, acting as a portable battery in the field as we dried out the boot of my girlfriend's car. It got a German version of the #MightyCarMods #Chopped sticker as well (I got it in a recent MCM bundle and though it was kinda unique!)

I've got flaps! Ordered these as the back and sides of the #Renault5 are collecting lots of tar and crap, and they're more in keeping with the rally vibe.
Unsure if I want to use the bundled self-tappers, I'll need to pull the trim off the wheel arches to see if there are pre drilled holes for the OEM flaps first.

Took the #Renault5 to the West Cork rally, and it was fantastic on the flowing country roads down there. No fear of range, though one of the chargers in Kenmare was iffy.

First long trip in the #Renault5 on Friday: Galway to Belcoo (County Fermanagh) to Adare and back to Galway, about 600km on great backroads through County Roscommon and County Leitrim. Maybe it was the first-spring vibe or the empty roads, but the car devoured the distance. Two stops for food and the loo, charging each time. Fast chargers cost about petrol parity, but no waiting around.#EV

A couple of weeks ago I got a small #Bose amp for my 10th work anniversary. Now I’m hunting for speakers on local classifieds and wondered how to test them. Then I realised I could power the amp via the #V2L adaptor on the #Renault5. That led to a bigger idea: a boot-mounted home stereo (up to 1300W). Static only, charge flap open… but still.

I completely failed to share my latest addition to the #WeirdCarMastodon fleet.
I've bought a #Renault5 #EV, and it's just a brilliant little thing. It's a complete nerdfest inside and a hoot across the backroads. I fitted a set of #Compomotive TH1882s since I didn't love the OEM wheels. -

Mit 800W fängt mein #Renault5 noch nicht an, zu laden. Mein system sollte aber wenn es fertig ist das Laden vom Netz mit 800W Solarstrom unterstützen können. Bei Gelegenheit werde ich auch mal die 1.200W Steckdose der #AnkerSolarBank ausprobieren. -
Renault 5 e‑Tech Verbrauch bei 14° (150 PS, 52 kWh Akku)
Heute war der erste Tag, an dem es draußen kälter war, als die 20°, die wir immer bei der Klimaautomatik eingestellt haben. Die Wärmepumpe ist also gelaufen.
Deshalb habe ich direkt mal ein paar Daten gesammelt.
Der R5 hat eine Ladebeschränkung, die habe ich auf 90 % eingestellt, so bin ich auch losgefahren.
Der aktive Tempomat war auf 130 eingestellt, die meiste Zeit musste ich aber langsamer fahren.
Für die Strecke von 87,2 km (hin und zurück, von der Steigung also neutral) hat der Bordcomputer 15,4 kWh / 100 km angezeigt. Das sind ca. 1,5 bis 2 kWh mehr, als im Sommer mit Klimaanlage.
Danach habe ich wieder auf 90 %, mit 11 kW an der Wallbox geladen.
Das Lademanagement zeigt an, dass es 15,5 kWh geladen hat, das entspricht 17,8 kWh / 100 km.
Die Wallbox zeigt an, dass sie 16,4 abgegeben hat, das entspricht 18,8 kWh / 100 km.
