A big day for the family as the newly renamed, Malaika, was set in the water after being slowwwwly and lovingly refurbished over the past 15 years. It's a long time since Henry left us, but so good to have his last vessel back in the sea.
Many thanks to the harbour team for their patience as they pandered to our request for a bit of time to conduct a "Renaming Ceremony" - got to keep those guardians of the sea and sky happy! (Wording in alt text)

Congress is close to a bipartisan deal that could reverse the Trump administration’s renaming of several southern Army bases back to Confederate leaders. The House-passed defense bill would block Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s move and restore the 2020 changes that honored a more diverse set of figures. People are very tied to their language and don’t like change, especially when it #challenges a #PowerStructure . In #Winnipeg , Bishop Grandin, a symbol of #colonial power, is being #replaced by #languages of the #historically #oppressed : #Cree , #Ojibwe & #Métis . While this is precisely the point behind the change, it may make those uncertain about changing power structures uncomfortable.

does anybody know a good foto and picture application for Linux aimed at sorting, deleting, renaming, showing, management? I use "gThumb", but it's not really usable. I.e. can’t rename more than one picture.
