🚀 Oh wow, someone discovered local git remotes! Let's all gather 'round to hear the tale of setting up a #home #server like it's 1999. 🌐 It's all #bare #repositories and directories, truly a cutting-edge revelation for the ages. 🙄

For those who use input systems with bluetooth, weather that be remotes or keyboards, what is your favorite and why? I'd love to know what you use to control your tech that isn't through touchscreen on the device itself but an external input system. #Technology #Blind, #Keyboards, #Remotes

"How to Clean Sticky Rubber Plastic From Logitech Remotes or Other Electronics"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIGek7Gbhcoposting this here because my xfinity remote has this issue too, so, maybe i'll try something like this on there, although i'm not sure i have the acetone nail polish remover
also, maybe read the comments on this youtube video, seems like folks with different items, some may have success, and others may have alternate methods as well

I've been playing with Git again as I move my repos to self-hosted #forgejo & have written up my notes on how to push your local work to *2* remote instances.
Obv. not new, & I've relied on someone else's explanation (see links) but the writing process helps me learn/understand and I thought it worth sharing rather than just posting a link to the original.

Use #git ? Want to push your local commits to more than one remote repository? At the same time?
As I look to migrate from GitHub/GitLab to a self-hosted ForgeJo instance I discovered how and have written up my notes. If this is something you'd like to do this post might be of interest...

(revised after re-reading this morning, didn't read well, lesson learned, leave things and review at least a day later!)

#UnpopularOpinion: I prefer a #remote #control with a bunch of #buttons than a #minimalistic one.
Probably that's the reason that I love to use my #Panasonic and #Sony #TV. Then I get piss off when I go to a #relatives or #friends house and I gotta use one of those #Samsung #remotes.
I'm not too much #religious, but dear lord have mercy of my #soul each time that I gonna use a minimalistic remote.

Does anyone know about the #accessibility of the radio client, featured on https://remotehams.com it looks very old. Is it still maintained? I want to give remotes a try. Can anyone suggest other options? I have a machine with Windows 11 Home Edition. How about #IOS or #GNU #Linux options? #HamR #HamRadio #RemoteRadios #remotes

@BrianEnigma A large portion of the chatter in the #remotes channel at work revolves around avoiding the new USB-C MacBooks during the upgrade cycle.
