They've got hold of a haul of ancient big iron in surprisingly good shape and they need funds to safeguard this rare machinery:
We are about to save an enormous quantity of extremely rare machines, some of which may be unique, dating back as far as 70 years.
Among the equipment to be saved are machines from both #IBM and #Remington #Rand for the creation and management of punch cards (one of the earliest methods of loading programs), huge #Sperry #Univac #mainframes complete with their tape units, disks, and printers, as well as the earliest #Olivetti systems.
