The good people over at CD Projekt Red have announced that they've done a remastered version of The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt and it's being given away FOR FREE to people who own the game... and that people who own the base will ALSO be getting the 2 expansions FOR FREE too.
This is an 11yr old game... a few years ago, they gave away a free update for it too... kinda of a mini remaster that added raytracing and other cosmetic improvements... This time they're adding gameplay improvements too.
On top of that... there's a NEW expansion coming that will help set up the story for The Witcher 4 that's coming next year.
Every other game studio should take note... this is how you build a fan base, this is how to reward people who have supported your business over the last 20yrs.
Frankly... 'piracy' is a legitimate, moral and ethical option in an age where you're not allowed to own the games you purchase and games can be killed at any time by simply turning of the activation servers, and games that run better when they're not weighed down by restrictive and performance killing DRM.
CDPR... my fave game developer. The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 are the two greatest games released. in the last 20yrs.

This was the first Rollins album with Ray Brown and Shelly Manne, and the first time he recorded with only bass and drums. I love this cover photo emphasizing the New York native was out west. My copy—direct from Craft Recordings—is the 2009 Original Jazz Classics reissue which was remastered back in 1988 and repressed in 2009. I also love how #OblivionRemastered has continued the common #OblivionClassic #bug where exiting the game gives a error the game stopped working (because you know... you pressed quit). Although in true #remastered fashion "remastering" the old default Windows "Oblivion.exe stopped working" pop-up with an fancier Unreal Engine one. Gotta hit you right in the #nostalgia 🤣🤣🤣.
