My new Jolla Phone is remarkable!

I have a few meetings at work, and the workflow for meetings is that preparations and notes are done on my reMarkable device and edited mainly on my Mac. I also use the reMarkable mobile companion app for Android, so it was fantastic to see it working on my new Jolla phone.

Reading (paywalled) news that #Remarkable is in a bit of a bother. Recent quality issues seem to have quite some financial impact.

My wife is pretty happy with her old one, but unless there have been recent developments, their sharing-function has been gated behind a subscription for a while now.

Ok, ich habe dem #Remarkable 2 mit diesem Installer für KOreader nochmal eine Chance gegeben. Aber man muss ständig neu installieren, weil der KOr wieder weg ist. Exportiere jetzt alle Inhalte und dann nehme ich den #rm2 aus dem Toolset.

Er det flere her som bruker #Remarkable?
Jeg har en Remarkable 2 og er veldig fornøyd med det.
Men: jeg vil nå prøve å organisere workflowen min bedre og vil derfor ta i bruk #Joplin, både på PC og mobil. Og da hadde det jo vært flott om jeg kunne sende notater fra Remarkablen dit. Remarkable støtter kun Google Drive, OneDrive eller Dropbox.

The remarkable 1 needs a rotate screen by 180° mode.

I usually have the remarkable next to my keyboard to write notes and it is usually connected to USB for charging.
The charging port is at the bottom of the device and it would be way more practical to have it at the top. If I could rotate the screen my problem would be solved.

In Kürze:
Wenn man auf dem reMarkable zwischen handschriftlicher & Tastatur Eingabe hin und her wechseln möchte und der Textfluss (ohne ungewollte Verschiebung...) erhalten bleiben soll, muss man beim Wechsel in den Tastaturmodus bis zum bearbeiten, danach kurz auf die gewünschte Bildschirmposition tippen (es wird zwar dann dort nicht gleich die Linie des Kursors angezeigt, jedoch verschwindet er hinter der letzten Tastatur-Eingabe) jetzt kann man Text per Tastatur hinter dem letzten handschriftlichen Text eingeben, z.B. den aktuellen Zeitstempel...

"Manchmal" verschiebt die Texteingabe per Bildschirm-Tastatur, den darüber stehenden, handschriftlich eingegeben Text (z.B. Eingabe eines Zeitstempels, per BS-Tastatur: 20260629_1544) ...

Selbst wenn ich mit getrennten Ebenen für die handschriftliche und Tastatur Texteingabe arbeite, gelingt es nicht wiederholt, zuverlässig...

Hat jemand Ideen/ Lösungsvorschläge?

Seit einigen Tagen arbeite ich mich in die Nutzung des reMarkable Paper Pure ein... allerdings noch komplett offline, also ohne "connect" Aktivierung...

Gibt's hier Menschen, welche gleichfalls ein Paper Pure nutzen...?

Meine Hauptnutzung sind "strukturierte" handschriftliche Notizen... dass funktioniert prima!

Jetzt wollte ich doch, manchmal handschriftlichen und per Bildschirm-Tastatur eingegebenen Text mischen ...
OHNE das diese sich die Position der Eingabe betreffend, beeinflussen.

My first gen RM100 Remarkable from around 2018 is still running without a problem.

The initial investment definitively payed of 🙂

It is great to see that it still gets updates and is fully integrated into the ecosystem.
