  1. #Drumpf deeply callous and caustic caged animal energy insults fired at female reporters in his orbit are nothing new, as dozens of immature sickening remarks have been attributed to him in the past year, but ominous autocratic threats against TV networks do raise the bar and cause constitutional alarm.

The paunchy Prez recent angry babbling tirades in #WhiteHouse to revoke the licensing of the American Broadcasting Corporation #TVNetwork owned by his constantly kowtowing corporate nemesis #Disney was at best a hollow threat by a deeply troubled man. After his most recent misogynist tongue lashing of female reporters, the #Bezos bought #WashingtonPost editorial board won my #NoShotSherlock Award for surmising the caustic #DJT bellowing was "beneath the office of the president."

The fact that the actual US President made some of these remarks while standing next to a man who inspired the dismemberment of a former Washington Post journalist is one of many new low points in American politics, proudly brought to you by millions of your #GOP voting neighbors and relatives.

According to the #ReliableSources media beat reporters at #CNN "the #FCC does not regulate the #ABCnetwork; it licenses local stations, some of which ABC owns adding that despite any DJT tantrums the FCC has "neither the legal authority nor the constitutional right to pursue broadcasters for their journalism," Democratic FCC commissioner Anna Gomez wrote on X. "These threats sound ominous, but they're empty."

  2. I boosted what you wrote, @sparseMatrix, but also: Trump wants to discredit the media. That is one more reason to support and praise media that deserves our support and praise. During this year of Trump's comeback I found a lot in the New York Times, for example, that deserves support and praise. It is not perfect but it is a very good newspaper in my opinion.

  3. I wrote that I am happy to be a relatively new subscriber to the New York Times. I am one of many subscribers who left the Washington Post for a better newspaper, where the owner does not interfere with his pro-Trump decisions. One result: "The (New York) Times’s Profit Jumps With 460,000 More Subscribers":

  5. #Republicans are showing increased loyalty to TFG as he campaigns for reelection & fights #criminal charges over his attempt to stay in power…. They are now less likely to believe that #Jan6 participants were “mostly violent,” less likely to believe #Trump bears responsibility for the attack & are slightly less likely to view Joe #Biden’s #election as legitimate….

  8. Due to this severe incapability to recognize their own #limits systems such as #ChatGPT may become a source of #FakeKnowledge and thus increase the already existing #disinformation in social media. It will be important to build #reliablesources of information and to require those systems to cite reliable sources.
