A successful trip, even if the shots of the target #bird were far off, and mostly backlit, and sky was overcast.
Here is the critically endangered #RegentHoneyeater.
There were approx 4 at this site.
Obviously it is hard to determine the number of wild birds in existence, but I've seen estimates of between 350 and <500 birds left in the wild, so despite the pretty ordinary photos, this was indeed a special bird to see.
