@drgeraint @Cyclist First Past the Post no longer works in favour of either of the two legacy parties, which are currently the two largest parties in #Westminster. Which is why you would think it would be a complete no brainer to legislate for full #ProportionalRepresentation, right now, before the summer recess.
I would bet you anything you like that it won't happen, and that #ReformUKLtd will win a 'landslide' in 2029 on the votes of 20% of the registered electorate.

@patrickhadfield H'mmm... When you look at the full figures, only 38.2% of the electorate voted #SNP on the constituency vote (full disclosure, I'm one of those, and I am *not* an SNP supporter these days!) So when you say that 27% voted SNP on the list, that's 71.2% of SNP voters.
#BothVotesSNP has always been a party-before-country, anti-independence policy. Yes, it certainly boosted #ReformUKLtd's seats at the expense of @ScottishGreens.

@ShredderLivesOn The Grauniad's 'Today in Focus' podcast had a ( fairly gentle) interview with her about a week ago. I felt frankly sorry for her. She was being nice about JK Rowling(!), nice about #ReformUKLtd, desperate not to offend anyone -- and unwilling to express a strong opinion on anything.
I quite like Dugdale. She's earnest and tries to do the right thing. But I question whether she's a good choice for this role.
