I'm running an improvised tutorial on #Zotero at my work tomorrow. Do you all have useful tips that I could share with my "students" - beyond the basics? Or specific use cases that you might use it for, beyond citing references in papers that you write?
For example I recently moved on to using its integrated PDF reader for peer-reviewing and it works well!

Dear @zotero ,
For my end-of-the-year presents😁, can I ask for a little extension of my storage space, and also a #WordOnline plugin? 🙏😘 -
Just found out about the "related" feature of #Zotero: allows you to link a ref to some other related refs. You can find it at the bottom of the right-hand-side panel 👍

I'm still not out of the rabbit hole of searching for an #OpenSource #PersonalKnowledgeManagement software. 🐰
I'm gonna give a second try to @zettlr tomorrow! Their docs are *surprisingly* user-friendly and they claim to stick to the pure #CommonMark where probable. It's all the while being nice to researchers with citing, inline usage of #TeXLaTeX, #MermaidJS, and pop-over #footnotes. Provision of the simple #PDF export and #Pandoc customization are welcome, too!
But, to be fair, I may be overexaggerating how good #Zettlr is because of my recent disgust with #VendorLocking. In fact, almost anything that closely follows the common spec and is #FreeSoftware might suffice already. Having something as advanced and closer to the roots is certainly refreshing!

Dear @zotero , just to say, I am really looking forward to the day when you’ll have an #Android app :)
EDIT: coincidence? Zotero released a beta for Android yesterday!!

CW: Reference Managers/Long Post
@VornhagenJB One of the most important class sessions in the #researchMethods class I'm teaching this quarter! I got our subject librarian to come discuss the database resources available and I made sure to go over #citations and #referencemanagers.

CW: Reference Managers/Long Post
Also while thinking about #Zotero. I am astonished about how many (ex-)students I run into who never heard of #ReferenceManagers. If you teach, please keep mentioning/recommending them. If you do not use one, go to zotero.org and use it. I am not even done with my PhD and have >2000 entries in my library. You will get overwhelmed if you try to do this by hand. Not even mentioning that I have not had to deal with doing a reference list manually since my undergrad.
