  1. Got my Red Wolf #1 back from @cgccomics in a stunning 9.2 Universal! I picked this up raw from A Heroes Legacy before they closed. In "A Thunder of War Drums," Red Wolf (Johnny Wakely) and his wolf Lobo fight for justice when a murderer is freed. This 1972 @Marvel classic features an epic story by Roy Thomas and Gary Friedrich, with art by Syd Shores.

  2. WILDLIFE WEDNESDAY

📰 World’s Rarest Wolf Gets Road Crossings

🚸 Safe road crossings are in the design phase for a highway that is known for the deaths of rare red wolves. This is part of a $25M grant from a US Federal Highway Administration effort, the Wildlife Crossings Pilot program.

🐺Red wolves used to roam all over the Southeastern U.S. but became extinct in the wild in 1980. Releases of captive wolves began in 1987 into North Carolina’s Alligator River Wildlife Refuge.

🚗 Once their numbers rose to about 130, they started to reduce again. One reason is that they were being hit by cars, many of which were driven by tourists going back and forth to the Outer Banks on Highway 64.

🔭 Anyone can go to the park to see the red wolves, but they typically remain hidden. At night, though, you can hear them howl.

  4. #ColossalBiosciences said it cloned #redwolves. Is it for real?
#Redwolf has long been contentious species. Debate over its preservation got even messier last year, when Colossal said it cloned the animal. Pundits debated utility of project and whether clones—technically, #graywolves with some genetic tweaks—could really be called #direwolves. But what mattered to Broussard was Colossal’s simultaneous announcement that it cloned four red #wolves.
