If Burnham became an MP there's no guarantee that his successor would win the Manchester mayoral for #Labour. If Labour lost that election Burnham's chances of becoming leader would be dead from the outset.
Anyway, I'd prefer #MrFlipFlop to stay in charge of the #RedTories - more chance of #Green victories at the May elections. -
