"Czerwonej Sonji" z 2025 roku miałem poświęcić tylko parę minut, kiedy akurat wcinałem obiad, a tak mnie wciągnęła, że obejrzałem ją w całości.

Oglądając takie filmy zawsze przypominam sobie samego siebie, kiedy miałem jakieś 7-8 lat i bawiłem się żołnierzykami.

Zafascynowany Robin Hoodem z lat 80 (ach ta muzyka Clannada!) tworzyłem epickie historie i sceny walki. I nie przeszkadzało mi, że moje żołnierzyki to w zdecydowanej większości byli żołnierze z czasów II WŚ, wojsk napoleońskich oraz kowboje i Indianie, a tylko część to byli rycerze.

Powtórzę jeszcze raz moje historie były E-P-I-C-K-I-E! Dialogi - mądre, ani odrobinę patetyczne czy naiwne. Sceny walki - z niesamowitą choreografią, były pokazem zręczności i sprytu. Bohaterowie jeśli ginęli, to zawsze śmiercią chwalebną, po której ostatkiem sił doczołgiwali się do jakiegoś pustelnika, który ich uzdrawiał. No i przede wszystkim moje historie były wiarygodne, świetnie zbudowane, napięcie stopniowałem idealnie.

I napiszę Wam, że 40 lat później widać naprawdę ogromny postęp we współczesnej kinematografii. Red Sonja nie tylko dorównuje wymyślanym przeze mnie scenariuszom, ale ma jeszcze coś więcej. Coś, czego jako siedmiolatek nie mogłem mieć: superbohaterkę - laskę w bikini-pancerzu.

I oni się tam całują!

Robert Sheenan (Klaus Hargreeves, Umbrella Company) seems to be the only one who truly understood what was needed: over the top acting of a deranged Emperor.

The explanation of where he came from is predictably poor and "how the h does that woman know this?", btw.

I have the feeling someone took this movie very seriously. Too seriously.

The writing is overly serious, and the diction is very precise. While the story is messy and unserious.
