Übrigens hat die #NZZ jetzt auch einen Artikel dazu. Die erste Hälfte scheint inhaltlich an DNIP angelehnt (wie üblich bei der NZZ ohne Erwähnung).
Für mich neu war, dass die Autorenschaft inzwischen eine Kurzversion («Extended Abstract») ihres Papers publiziert haben (Erstellungsdatum laut (fälschbaren) Metadaten: 17. März 2025). Damit haben zumindest die zitierten #Redditors keine Chance mehr, dass ihre Aussagen *nicht* in der Studie berücksichtigt werden.

But what I find the most interesting and potentially game-changing, is that this is probably not just a move of people only using a given platform.
I am going to wager a bet a lot of long-term volunteer #Redditors are joining the #Threadiverse. :blobcathappy:
This means that there are potentially a lot of new people with the experience and willingness to perform perhaps the most demanding and the most thankless of tasks: community moderation.
That's super-important. That excites me. 👀

Had a look at the discussions on Reddit about the #Oregon "Right to Rest" bill.
The bill is basically intended to end repetitious sweeps and adds homelessness as a protected category for bias crimes.
#Redditors seem to think that this will result in #Portland playing the role of Rome in the sack of the vandals.
In actual fact it will probably reduce crime since people on the streets won't be looking to replace everything every few weeks if they aren't getting swept.
