Back to Redcar for the second week in a row, as it was their event's 14th anniversary today! It's for sure my favourite local #parkrun, and Locke Park was looking particularly good today in the sunshine.
I ended up in a group sprint finish situation with a guy carrying a speaker on his back and a lady pushing a baby in a pram. Both managed to beat me, but such is life 😄

A lovely morning for a parkwalk!
Yesterday I jeffed my first ever 10k, so today was take easy and I joined the many other walkers at #Redcar #parkrun.
There were two guys near me, doing it for the very first time. We had the usual bit of banter and I saw them going for a sprint finish at the end after walking the whole way round so I think they enjoyed it and hopefully they'll be back.
p.s. yes, I totally drove us there too 😎

Redcar parkrun for us this morning, and I was definitely not in the mood to go for anything drastic.
Decided to see if, after all the Jeffing recently, I can actually still run the whole thing without stopping! And I'm happy to say that I can, and got myself a new course PB in the process despite taking it fairly easy.
It always feels like really good vibes there, lots of friendly banter among the middle aged lady pace group, sometimes you get to see a train go past but sadly not today. There's always next time!

Nice morning at Redcar parkrun today. It was hard work after taking last week off, and my dodgy leg is definitely not happy with me, but the vibes were good as always and I got a new course PB by about 20 seconds so that's not to be sniffed at.
Got home and I've immediately changed into pyjamas and an oodie for the rest of the day. Possibly a nap in my near future 😄

Happy New Year everyone!
We started this new year as we finished the old one, with a #parkrun. We did #Redcar again, but this time volunteering as tail-walkers. A lovely, friendly atmosphere and a great way to start 2026!
parkrun is my absolute favourite thing we discovered in 2025, and I can't recommend it enough. I'm looking forward to doing more over the next year.

After a week of heavy snow, we never expected to be doing a #parkrun this morning, but here we are. We continued our tour of the local runs at #Redcar, a flat, three lap course with superior signage game!
Great course, not too cold and the rain held off. I finished with a baffling PB of 28:29, over a minute and half better than my previous PB! Must have been that last minute banana I scoffed!
