I can't help but think that what is new and groundbreaking for US folks and China folks...is actually the normal life for South-East Asians and we take that for granted. I have been consuming media in different languages and countries almost all my life. I burst out of my cocoon the moment I was born 😆.
SEA folks have to due to our proximity to other countries and our multicultural environment. I really do take that for granted.

The bill to ban them was part of a relief bill for Ukraine or something and forced through. The public hasn’t seen any of the evidence about them being a national security threat. And shutting down a platform “because we say so” is pissing people off and setting a bad precedent.
