I gave blood today! They took it. I often get deferred for low iron. They have a new noninvasive test which seems to be gamed by making your hands warm -- I got 15.3 and I never get above 13. (12.5 is the cutoff.)

Those of you who are eligible and able should consider it; there recently was a blither about critically low supply.

During the genocide in Gaza and the bombings of his hospital, Dr. Husam refused to abandon his patients. He risked his life to save the lives of so many others. The genocidal occupying entity kidnapped Dr. Husam in December 2024 and has now been holding him hostage for more than 550 days!

When his lawyer visited Dr. Husam on July 2, he barely recognized him due to the severe abuse and medical neglect.

Dr. Husam told his lawyer: "This is the End. You may never see me again. They brought me here to kill me."

Israel has expanded a blanket ban on Red Cross access to Palestinian captives despite a High Court decision declaring it unlawful.

Israel Prison Service Commissioner Kobi Yaakobi last week imposed new restrictions that significantly limit access for the humanitarian group.

The new regulations prevent them from visiting certain categories of Palestinians under any circumstances.

This includes those the Israeli Prison Service (IPS) classifies as "highly violent", as well as captives held in solitary confinement or under interrogation.

Visits otherwise are limited to 30 minutes, with prison commanders able to cut meetings short at their leisure.

The moves defies a High Court of Justice ruling last month that ordered the state to resume Red Cross visits after a previous ban was imposed in the wake of the 7 October attacks in southern Israel in 2023.

I thought that I would be safe from persecution, once I got to Japan. This turned out to be wrong.

I ran out of the funds I came here with, in February 2026, and have been #homeless here since.

I turned to every refugee assistance I could find: #JAR, #AAR, #RHQ, #FRESC, #UNHCR , the #Shinagawa City Ward Office. They all denied me assistance.

Second Harvest gave me 5 food packages, over two months, each of which lasts 2-3 days.

The #Takanawa #Catholic #Church was feeding me 1 meal a day, though now they have stopped even that.

When I reported to Mr. Takaii, a priest at #Meguro Catholic Church, that I had been abused by a Catholic Charity in #Kona , #Hawaii ( documented in the link above ), he suddenly told me he did not speak any English, though we had met a few times, and had several conversations, and he speaks English fluently.

The #corruption at the heart of the Catholic church and Christianity could not be more profound.

The #Pope has condemned #war and called for #peace , and scored cheap #poltical points against #Trump , though he has not called on all #Catholics to resign from the military, and stop participating in war. His apologia are crocodile tears.

I am presently hungry, homeless, and need of medical care.

The Japanese #Immigration Bureau keep asking me why I have "overstayed my visa". I keep responding that while my asylum application is pending, I am not overstaying in Japan. Japan is in violation of #International #Law ( 1951 & 1967 convention on the treatment of #refugees ). They can easily extend my visa, so I can get medical care and food. I have reported to them several times that I am in pain, and need food. They keep on harassing me.

It seems to me that the #JapanPM has decided to make same mistake that Japan made in #WW2 - siding with #corruption
