Kiedyś szyfrowanie dysku oznaczało, że nikt bez znajomości hasła nie był w stanie uzyskać dostępu do danych w rozsądnym czasie (no chyba, że ktoś miał szczęście i od razu trafił na dobre hasło). A często nadmierna liczba błędnych kombinacji, kończyła się czasową blokadą (przy wprowadzaniu haseł “na żywo”). Co prawda...

Wer #Bitlocker nutzt, sollte die Kopie des #RecoveryKey/#Wiederherstellungsschlüßel NICHT in der #Microsoft-#Cloud bzw. #OneDrive abspeichern.

I don't use my #Apple account.. ever. I've only used it to download the odd exclusive thing from #iTunes. So I had forgot where I put my Apple ID #password and in futzing around before I remembered, I locked my account.
I don't have my #recoverykey

I just spent 45 minutes via chat for them to say "You can't recover this account without the recovery key"... which they could have answered in 45 _seconds_ if they just read my original question.

@gulli @basisbit @dickenhobelix @microsoft ohoh, danke für die Bestätigung, dass das ab und zu vorkommen kann. In unserem Fall sind die Maschinen vollständig von #microsoftintune verwaltet und Updates auf den Microsoft #surface Geräten einschließlich BIOS Updates werden automatisch eingespielt. Den #bitlocker #recoverykey kann ich so auch sehr einfach im #endpointmanager nachschauen, eingeben und die Sache ist erledigt.

@jim I’m not in the #UK, but it’s working seamlessly here in #Canada after the recent OS updates. The only snag upon setup was that it wouldn’t work if I had both a #RecoveryContact AND a #RecoveryKey in place for some reason. Removed the Recovery Key and then it worked flawlessly with the Contact only.
