Well I’m a dork. Had no idea #recordstoreday was April 18, and an old fantastic #vinyl shop reopened in town on Saturday. And now this dork is going to spend copious hours sifting through their stuff this week, which puts it off to about a good a start as any.

This is a live album but recorded so pristinely you’d think it was in the studio. The only differences are the occasional crowd noise between songs, and everything being a bit down-tempo.

#recordStoreDay memories: at the Sunset Boulevard Tower Records, LPs were separated by plastic dividers, labeled by artist. On the “Sade” divider, someone had helpfully markered a pronunciation: “Shar-Day. “
On the “Slade” divider, someone else wrote “Slar-Day.”
