#reconnectingwithnature — Public Fediverse posts

It took longer than I thought, perhaps I had lost that wibbly wobbly stuff for some days. 😂
But now I published my thoughts about the weird feelings of #time when we feel overwhelmed. And how to get our timey-wimey stuff back:

Yes, we can debate now if wolves invented #StandingStones by marking and how you find your #tree. 😁

Working on a new zine. The idea is still taking shape, in a playful and explosive way, combining text and images. Something with nature ! The bad photos show you: these are #humanmade!

I'm nervous like a school child having uploaded my first mini #zine (after 40 yrs), with my alien caressing #moss and building #mycelium: https://ko-fi.com/s/700d3d3138 - buying it, you also help me with some ugly bills (see my goal on #kofi).

Have fun! I'm sketching the next!

Are you curious how I invented my micro-macro-amplifyer and why I like Dr Who? How I learned from a BBC colleague that a bed is important for work? Do you want to imagine a grey haired woman watching childrens' TV and having a culture clash thanks to Audacity? I didn't see it yet myself. I had been sad that she was live in #KewGardens and me in France, but just found out that the event exists as a video! And 5x15 Stories is always a good recommendation for fascinating people. Soon they will bring Merlin Sheldrake as a highlight! https://www.5x15.com/events/merlin-sheldrake-live-at-royal-botanic-gardens-kew

#Selfcare with plants. I'm awfully exhausted right now. But there's still a plant blooming in my garden that's a friend to me. You can talk to flowers and they chatter with their scent.

🧵 Unbelievable: Robin Wall Kimmerer's gorgeous book "Braiding Sweetgrass" was published 10 years ago. Unlike other global bestsellers, the book has changed people, woken them up and inspired them to take action. Rosanne Deerchild talks with the author in her podcast Unreserved:

It was the first time in my life that I saw this animal. When I was young, it was extinct in our landscapes. We were probably both equally astonished. He or she had an incredibly friendly appearance. And was so beautiful.

I have an idea for the most shocking #Halloween #costume: go as a #heatwave! (Written at 22°C in eastern France, normal would be 10°C). Old celebrations feel mistimed ...

Are you interested in how #ClimateEmergency shifts ancient #traditions and #rituals? I looked at #pagan (later colonised by Catholics) #culturalHeritage of #harvest and #summer in #Alsace in my #podcast #NatureMatchCuts and was surprised by the #shifting #baseline: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ep-08-shifting-times/id1630784381?i=1000629684574 #ReconnectingWithNature #biodiversity

#BilboToday The #walnuts are ripe, unfortunately mostly hollow or tiny due to the drought. We met a ravenous Krächzel who effectively cracked them by chucking them in flight onto the road. How do I know that this #raven was Krächzel? He didn't fly away and chattered with Bilbo. I'll tell you about their unusual friendship in the next #podcast episode of #NatureMatchCuts https://www.cronenburg.net/naturematchcuts_podcast/ #nature #ReconnectingWithNature #DogsOfMastodon #hiking

PodcastData counts 4,205,339 #podcasts.😲 That's why I don't feel bad about pausing my #podcast without notice.
The cancer of my dog Bilbo has left me completely out of the lurch in my creative work. There's plenty of competition for you to listen to.

The good news: I'm now restored enough to work on a new episode for the end of the month. Stay tuned to #NatureMatchCuts, will you? ▶️ https://naturematchcuts.net #ReconnectingWithNature #kinship #nature #ecology #moreThanHuman #SciComm #NatureWriting

I. Do. It.
I'm interviewing an #ant! She is a fascinating person. At the moment, she talks to me about the traditions of her tribe dating from 50 Mio yrs ago! (Homo sapiens is such a primitive newcomer on earth). And her profession ... you won't believe it!

Did I already note that I do love my profession as a #journalist? This opportunity to interview such #celebrities! 🥰

We saw the first #butterflies: Nymphalis polychloros, relishing on horse manure, and Gonepteryx rhamni at the #forest edge. An incredible joie de vivre resounds from the #ivy growth of trees where #starlings are feasting. Calls of longing circle into the sky with a lonely #kite. He didn't call out in vain, on the way back a female circled with him. The #ravens react grumpily.

Good sign: I have a working title (which will later be checked 1001 times). "When Gardeners Go Wild". This episode of my #NatureMatchCuts #podcast will be published on the last day of March! And it is not about humans.

Two weeks ago, I made a bullshit test with #ChatGPT because I wanted to know how it could change our #relationship to #nature if we experience it through the filter of #LLM. I proudly present, you may boost: Ep 6 of my #podcast #NatureMatchCuts - #ReconnectingWithNature

Originally, I wanted to tell you how to experience a #meadow with all your #senses. A wonderful exercise to connect with #nature or to get creative. Essential for #NatureWriting. But then suddenly there was this strange alien who wanted to join in. An artificial, absolutely unnatural "thingy".

Tomorrow's podcast episode of #NatureMatchCuts will be a fatter one.😋 I couldn't find an end while "Chatting With An Alien".

How alienated from #nature #humans can be? What happens if we consume only #illusions of #ecosystems or replace human interlocutors with non-human partners? And how to get this very #human #perspective of #naturewriting?
