Yesterday I started a private project: a #LEGO CRUD web application using #Symfony and #Sylius stack (for learning purposes).

To avoid creating every set manually, I'm using the #Rebrickable API to fetch all data. The idea for this part is to write an importer that imports the sets into the resource/entity based on a theme_id.

This morning I completed the first small part: implementing the API call logic with Symfony’s HTTPClient. And it already works great! :)

Seems like #rebrickable (https://rebrickable.com/), with some AI features to detect the bricks one has, however without the massive user-created #moc library of Rebrickable. Don't want to hate your mentioned project, but I don't see the use switching over.

I'm in the process of building all of these physically.
Where possible, I will be dropping instructions, but some of these are paid builds off #Rebrickable, some are from #youtube, #reddit and #bricklink... and other places.

Shagohod. Seems fitting, given the MGS3 remake is around the corner.

Another fun build, and a fair bit sturdier than the REX build from the same creator. Feels not quite as "polished" (more bare studs where they don't look like they belong), but it looks good on the shelf next to REX either way.

Metal Gear REX.

God damn this was a cool build. I originally thought I'd build maybe a leg tonight, which turned into both legs, then the torso, then the rest of it.

It's a really fantastic and fun build. The upper and lower legs connect via what could be called an "illegal" technique, which reduces the stability and otherwise fantastic posability of the mech.

I also wish you could close the cockpit but it's a small gripe.

Overall if you're a Metal Gear and Lego fan (like me), I'd very much recommend picking up the midi scale Star Wars Millenium Falcon (75375) and grabbing the instructions.

I have always wanted the Robin Brickheadz to go with my Batman. They look great together in the Batmobile. Robin has a retired so I made it via Rebrickable and Bricklink. Cost about £25. Very happy with that.

Es wird bei #rebrickable der Durchschnitt von allen Teilen. Die zu Verkauf stehen genommen, oft bekommt ihr die Teile bei #bricklink günstiger.

Aber Rebrickable ist richtig cool und man kann natürlich Teile-Listen zu BeickLink exportieren.

My code, is a mess! I’m surprised though how quick it got me to a point where it served my needs of data entry, enrichment and workflow logic so that I could technically sort the parts manually. I started sorting and allocating until I realised I was off by a factor 10. Ouch!
