Yet another TV reboot that we never heard anyone asking for, much as we enjoyed the original back in the early 2000s. A "Scrubs" update is in development at ABC, with star Zach Braff set to reprise his role as Dr. John "J.D." Dorian. Creator Bill Lawrence has signed up to work on the reboot but his busy schedule ("Shrinking," "Bad Monkey" and "Ted Lasso," plus an HBO comedy starring Steve Carell) won't allow him to be showrunner should the reboot go to series. A system that hasn't rebooted in more than a week... is that unusual? Do systems usually put more than once a week? Are we talking about computer OS or some particular system?
I mean, I hibernate my laptop and all that but generally doesn't reboot more than once a month. My smartphone, #reboots maybe once a year.

Speaking of Waterworld, that's a film that's ripe for a reboot. It's an intriguing premise for a sci-fi story, and The Mariner was a classic 90s anti-hero. But given everything a creative writer could do with it, the wannabe Max Max 2 plot they gave us was... disappointing
I'd love to see some edgy writer and director like Lexi Alexander handed the project, and left alone by the studio to do it their way.
