I thought #RebelMoon - #RebelMoon2 - was going to seriously suck, but a half hour in, they had finally heroically harvested the grain, and they were finally re-introducing us to the characters they had gone through one-by-one three times in the last movie. Good news! They were doing it one-by-one again!

Watching Rebel Moon 2.
Zack Snyder is mostly trash, but his visual style is my kinda trash.
If you're looking for originality, character growth or consistent plot, you're looking in the wrong place.
Want you will get is slow motion, choral music and visually interesting shots. -
Als mein Sohn klein war, habe ich #Avatar schon als Zeichentrick mit ansehen müssen. Habe mir jetzt die Realverfilmung auf #Netflix angeguckt. Ich finde richtig,richtig,richtig gute Umsetzung. Auch tricktechnisch allererste Sahne.
Dagegen vorgestern #RebelMoon2 geguckt und mich wie bei Teil 1 über die völlig hanebüchene Story geärgert. Die Handlung ist so konstruiert, die Storyline so unglaubwürdig, so unlogisch und trotzdem so vorhersehbar, dass es wehtut. Warum so dumm?

CW: Rebel Moon Part Deux spoilers
Rebel Moon part two is not a good film, but it surpasses part one in every possible way. It has a somewhat cohesive narrative, some main characters have motivations and goals, some shit just happens because the writers wanted it to. And some main characters, supporting characters, and extras die in misguided attempts to gather unearned sympathy and gravitas.
In Seven Samurai and Magnificent Seven I wanted the villagers to be helped, but I hated the peasants in this film and felt nothing when they died.
I really hoped that the end of this shitfest is not setting up a third of these things. BTW Hopkinsbot seems to be in his own film. #rebelmoon2
