Are there any current or retired professional #realTimeStrategy gamers who'd be willing to join an accountant on a short interview by a well-respected civil and human rights activist about how the concept from #RTS games of focusing fire (including its relation to damage per second and shield/health regeneration) could be applied analogously to the cash flow of each of several companies collaborating with an oppressive regime organizers are collectively opposing?
Are there any current or retired accountants, or people at least fluent in the concepts of cash flow and communication about which to non-specialists, who'd be willing to join that discussion too?

The GLA must have a top-notch recruiting team, I understand that they're supposed to be terrorist and therefore terrorize, but more than half of their attacks impact the civilians in the territories they're supposed to "liberate" more than they impact the Chinese and the Americans, it's remarkable that they're able to fill their ranks at all

Finally made it through the Nod campaign of the first Command & Conquer! 💥
I had to exploit several errors of the enemy AI to get anywhere in the final missions.
(And to make things worse, the last mission 13c has a bug that can corrupt save games.)
To be honest: in the end, it felt more like a chore.
But I am still glad I pulled through and saw the final cutscene. 🙂
But now my thirst for RTS games is quenched for the time being. 😅

To expand a bit on why I think Kohan 2 is more complex than the first Battle for Middle Earth: you can customize the squads individual elements to make them however you want, this granular control over your troops makes resource management more complex since you have to take in account the upkeeps of each individual unit, but it's also incredibly cool, as it allows creating any combination you may want

I've done a bit of a cleanup in my Steam Wishlist, thirty or so games were removed, half of them are games that were announced but got eventually abandoned, or games I hoped would get better with updates but never did
Also, I think I figured out what caused those stutters in #AgeofDarkness

I have the creeping sensation that the stuttering in #AgeOfDarkness is mainly provoked by the subtitles when the characters speak, I've just beaten a level with few dialogs, and it almost never lagged, how does it happen that your subtitles are slowing down the entire thing!?

Continuing my journey into #AgeOfDarkness I've discovered more prickly edges
For starters, units don't tend to stay glued to one place when idle, and can get carried away, which is bad if you want to keep formations orderly
Second, despite having a Radeon 6700xt, Ryzen 5700g and 32 gb of 2666 mhz ram, I've encountered some annoying stutters, hopefully setting the graphics at medium should fix this

I've decided to pick the RTS #AgeOfDarkness up, I bought this during its EA period because I liked the concept of a game like They Are Billions set in a fantasy setting, but I was a little dubious because the post-release reviews are lamenting the presence of game-breaking bugs, so I wanted to see for myself once and for all
So far so okay, apart for some janky animations and lacking audio

I kind of miss RTS games with a great single player campaign. Personal gold standard are of course Homeworld, Starcraft and Warcraft III for me. Using the framework of realtime strategy to tell a story can make sense for a variety of stories, but - and I might be wrong with this - the last ones I can remember were, I don't know, perhaps Grey Goo and Halo Wars 2, who at least had a great presentation.
