TL:DR I’m sure the report goes into *methodology* without which the data it reveals (and the analysis thereof) comes under question. Still, based on your vid, I find astounding that the range of news outlets reported is so restricted… I mean, who get news from *Broadsheets* (some digitised) these days when clearly they are not found very credible. Contrast and compare with the ample diversity of reporters, commentators, analysts found on the internet (as well as news outlets such as the Guardian for example) with various perspectives of current affairs and what daily hits an editor’s desk.
Personally, I read from a wide-ranging collection of ‘news’ reporting sources. Mostly from sources with obvious and transparent biases as diametrically opposed as possible while staying clear of *extreeme* views and opinions. A distillation of all of these is my *middle way* to something resembling truth (a loaded term itself).

Donald Trump is right about one thing: we do have a problem with the news. But he misuses the term "fake news." He doesn’t call it out when the media ignores facts, tells half-truths, or even lies to the American people. Instead, he calls it "fake news" anytime he doesn’t like what’s being reported. By doing this, he distracts people from the real issue — that we often aren't getting honest, reliable news in the first place.
Real news tells the whole story — the wonderful, the good, the bad, and the ugly. It reports on politics without being political. That means it's not conservative, progressive, or even moderate. Real news doesn't give you its opinion — it sticks to facts and then shuts up, letting you think for yourself.
Real news is a public service — freely accessible to everyone, not just the elite. If the general public must pay a subscription (paywalls) to obtain the news, it's not really public, and it's not real news.
Real news doesn't take sides in war reporting. War is ugly. Awful things are done by all sides. A credible source shows the truth on every side, not just the one that fits a certain narrative.
Take the conflict between Israel and Palestine, for example. It has lasted decades. If a news outlet always portrays one side as righteous and the other as evil — that's not real journalism. Both sides have committed atrocities, and real news should say that.
What we often see presented as "news" today is actually a celebrity-type reporter interviewing another, with both simply sharing their personal thoughts and feelings about recent events. In other cases, news outlets choose not to report on certain events at all, tell only part of the story, or insert their own opinions — and sometimes they outright lie about what happened, which is propaganda.
We do not have real news in the United States of America.
