  1. - avoid HFCS
    - avoid food bombarded with preservatives (like canned goods)
    - less ingredients, the better #realfood
    - avoid food that used biological leaveners (most bread); only chemical and physical are safe (flat breads are safe)
    - whole-wheat & whole-grain bread are safe

  2. I miss the era when #realfood was the main topic in SNS / Social Media networks.

Real Food = organic, farm raised, and non-factory processed/prepared

#RealFood #SlowCooking

  4. Echo & Narcissus

The myth is told in Book III of the Metamorphoses and tells the story of Echo, a mountain nymph from Mount Cithaeron, and Narcissus, a hunter from a Thespiae in Boeotia, known for his many admirers and his beauty but also his callous rejections of those admirers. Echo was a "very talkative nymph" whom the goddess Venus admires for her magnificent voice and song. She distracted the goddess Juno by talking for hours while her husband Jupiter had affairs with other nymphs. One day, when Echo […]

  8. What’s your Motivation?

One of the longest Strange Classrooms I have attended was the Alcoholics Anonymous Mission. That is well documented in The Chronicles of the Mexican Horse Thief. One of the things I learned has developed over the years, the question I was taught to ask before I do any thing of importance, “What’s your motivation?” This if done honestly will shock you, this I know. Over the years in my naïveté about peoples true motivation has landed me in terrible situations, terrible. So recently […]

  9. Anton & Glenn

What a pair of characters! Glenn was just a pretty weird guy in general, clever . He lived on the second floor of my building. Anton, in the wheelchair is a book all by himself. His leg. That is just one story and here is how it happened. Anton is an alcoholic, what he did before he lost the leg for a living I don’t know, but when first saw him, he was on the corner by the robots begging. He would make enough money and then off to the Bottle Store. He did have a room to sleep in. I got […]

  11. Rand Clinic 1986/7

The Rand Clinic 1986/7 Rolled a car, upside down and flipped over type of jol. Car totalled, boss unhappy, but it was not my fault that time! Anyway. My face had a few cuts as did my arms, and my left hand had a broken knuckle. I did not like doctors then already, as they were still trying to kill my mom with their drugs. They got it right about a years later…. Anyway, patched myself up, no problem. Or so I thought. My Pinkie knuckle healed wrong and the finger could not bend. Ok. […]

  15. Our Drugged up Society

How the hell did we get here? Working on two philosophies to see how we got here. First is not looking where you fell, but where you slipped. Funny enough this led straight to the second philosophy, find the source. For this particular slip we need look no further than: Psychiatry . These “doctors” are on the forefront of our legal drug dealer trade, i.e. The Medical Profession. While at the moment everyone seems to be on about Big Pharma, let’s take a look at this branch of the […]

HOW TO TELL IF YOU’RE SOUTH AFRICAN …. You call a bathing suit a “swimming costume” or a “cozzie”. You call a traffic light a “robot”. You call a sandwich a ‘sarmie’ You call an elevator a “lift” – but asking for a ‘lift’ doesn’t mean you want an elevator – you actually want a “ride” You call a car hood a “bonnet” You call a car trunk a “boot” You call a pickup truck a “bakkie” “Van” isn’t a vehicle – he’s the butt of some […]

  22. Doctors and my Sobriety

or maybe, lack of in this case. From the Chronicles II We had one person that use to often walk in just before we closed and ask the prices on any equipment we did nothave tagged. He never bought a thing. I would let one of the other staff members deal with him, as I could not trust mytongue or my temper. On one fine evening, about one minute to closing, he waltzed in and started his normal shit. Tenminutes later I had had enough and told him we would like to close. He looked down his nose […]

  26. Basic Comprehension

Keeping it Simple, Stupid “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” It's a quote routinely attributed to Edmund Burke. Comprehension. One can read a lot, about any subject, but the comprehension seems to be a problem. Noticed that first in High School, some of the really clever students failed the Literature and Comprehension, badly! When I first saw this quote I understood it. When I tried to help save our Rhino I began to get some comprehension […]

  29. Religious Practices I find Appalling. One.

There are so many! The journey of a Thousand Miles comes to mind, so, this is Step One to showing why I hate it so much. I can TELL you why in one sentence though..... ALL Religion is based on Evil, ALL. I shall endeavor to not damn prove it to you, that has proved to be a futile business. I can just give some information and hopefully ONE person that is still under the spell of these Religions will see a tiny bit of the truth behind the evil that is so prevalent right now. They say to see […]

  30. Going AWOL

Going AWOL Get asked why I have written so little about my time in the South African Défense Force. Don’t know. But here is a story for you, an ugly story, unfortunately most of my memories of the SADF are not nice stories. Going AWOL I was on pass and my mom was in a mess. She found a new doctor to give her drugs, I had threatened the previous one, on my last pass. Put my Ruger Super Black Hawk on his desk and mentioned, if I come on pass again and he has been feeding my mom drugs, I […]
