Y’all, there’s a county in #Virginia, with less than half a million people, that has 37 data centers, and they’re fixing to pave over the civil war battlefields to add 17 more.
Folks who live there have seen power prices spike, and have been told to expect another 25% spike. They’ve also been trying to stop the data center buildouts, but uh…Capital finds a way.
Now, rather than say, teaching a district wide course about Luddites and what they fought for, the superintendent of schools sent out a letter telling teachers to close their blinds and turn off laptops.
