The latest pay offer from the government is pathetic and was rejected by the Royal College of Nursing.
I and my colleagues are at our lowest ebb, we're exhausted, and we have no energy left. There are record levels of sickness. So many of us are looking for a way out. This country is haemorrhaging "shop floor" nurses, there is zero incentive.

17 years ago I had the worst day of my life. I wanted to perform this #poem on the 14th, the anniversary, but snow, so I decided to make a video and use it to support the #NursesStrike (it's relevant, I promise).
It's not my best, but it means something. This year has been particularly tough, and what we do for each other matters. These moments are what you remember, 17 years later.
