George Raft (one of my favourite actors), Raymond Burr and Virginia Mayo star in Red Light (1949), a neglected film noir gem. Raft gets to be a tough guy, Burr gets to be evil. A must-see noir.

I watched BRIDE OF THE GORILLA (1951) today. Raymond Burr plays a very vile, murderous man. Lon Cheney Jr., The inspector looking for evidence against him. Barbara Payton is the blonde everyone is in love with. And there's a voodoo curse turning one into a gorilla monster. 🦍 ❤️
This was solidly good, but doesn't really lean into the gorilla-suit nonsense sold in the title/poster. Which is fine because you can get that in other movies.
