Jan6 demonstrators have spent more than two years claiming either that nothing really happened at all in the weeks leading up to January 6th or that it was just a peaceful protest that got a bit out of hand or that they were just making a good faith effort to follow the legal process.

I thought for sure that the #GOP has been arguing that it was an #FBI led plot to cause violence and get #Trump in trouble.

The conjecture immediately following the aftermath was that #Jan6 was a plot to essentially kidnap #MikePence and force him to accept alternate slates of electors. But in the years following the evidence that this was the case has sort of dried up, the #FBI theory has been making a lot more sense to me at this point given the whole situation with #RayEpps and the fact that the #ProudBoys was involved since the leader they had at the time was a fed.
