- Introduce new plane where the blue-aligned humanoids are Vedalken instead of Merfolk
- Don't print any Vedalken typal cards, ever
- Players haven't really connected with Vedalken when we return to the plane because there's no Vedalken deck
- Introduce secret clade of Merfolk who have been hiding on the plane the whole time, honest.
- Print Merfolk typal cards.
- People just like Merfolk more than Verdalken, for some unfathomable reason -
Pulling a card from the deck of many things is definitely dangerous and stupid - but very very fun! Being a Trickster and all, obviously Kami had to do it.
The world didnt end and she didnt die but she got some pretty wings (for like a minute for various reasons) but still! She looked amazing and i had to doodle it!#dnd #dndart #characterdesign #dndcharacter #mtg #ravnica #vedalken #cleric #angel #mastoart

Ravnica and Planescape, as settings, are almost identical.
Planescape has Factions. Ravnica has Guilds.
Planescape has the Lady of Pain.
Ravnica has the Guildpact. And it's all about conflicting ideologies and world views in a restricted space. Parties vying for who gets to shape the world according to their beliefs.

It's been quite a treat to get such a long-range preview of what's to come, on #Magic's 30th anniversay. What do yout hink of the announced sets? What has you most/least excited?
As for me, none of the announced Universes Beyond collabs really caught my eye (except for a cautious, wait-and-see interest in the Final Fantasy crossover), but I am PUMPED for 2024's premiere slate:
-#MurdersAtKarlovManor: #Ravnica isn't my favorite plane (I have no issue with it, but I kind of missed it the first time around) but I'm always down for a murder mystery.
-#OutlawsOfThunderJunction: I've dreamt of a Weird West #MagicTheGathering set since the 1990s, when I first played the Deadlands: Doomtown CCG. I even came up with a combat keyword mechanic for it once (Shootout, a way to split combat damage)! Cannot wait to see what the *actual* Wizards have come up with.RP websites on Geocities when I was a younger teen. I read every book Brian Jacques ever wrote up til his death, save like one or two. Redwall and (especially Mossflower defined so much of my childhood reading experience. I'm all in.
#DuskmournHouseOfHorror: I hope this is a new plance. I hope the ENTIRE plane is one impossibly large Winchester House nightmare of phantom staircases, sub-sub-sub basements, pivoting walls, and blood-soaked ghosts seeking vengeance for long-forgotten crimes. Even if that doesn't end up being the case, though, I have high hopes. -

Today’s #Ravnica #DnD session roundup:
- I did not kill the captain of the Boros Legion guard, but I did persuade his soldiers to mutineer against him
- I did not commandeer the Parhelion Il, but we can use it as a taxi service.
- We can now meet the head of the Orzhov. I can’t wait to see what I can blag from them.
