I feel that #RavishKumar is beginning to drink the American/NYT Kool-Aid.
He did an episode on #HollywoodPride a few weeks ago. As a queer person myself, I was disappointed that he painted a rosy picture of the state of #LGBTQIA rights in the Empire, and chose to completely ignore the significant victories that Indian activists have managed here. He even forgot to mention that sexual and gender minorities in #India owe much of their woes to the British Colonisers.
Also, he is silent on #Gaza. -

Watching "While We Watched", a documentary on the difficult life of journalist Ravish Kumar after the rise of Hindutva in India.
He belongs to my home district East Champaran, Bihar -- and was one of my role models since high school.
I salute his courage and wonder about the future of press freedom in India, which is finding its low on a daily basis.
It's an opener and a must-watch for everyone who wants to know the real India.

I saw #WhileWeWatched last night and really, really recommend it. It’s an excellent documentary about #RavishKumar, the fearless, amazing #NDTV news presenter informing viewers of the lies they are being relentlessly told in #Modi’s #India around the 2019 election. The #nationalism and #Propanda on other channels is frightening, not least because identical to rhetoric elsewhere. Kumar resigned in 2022 and now does a #YoutubeChannel, living more or less in hiding.
