Today is the day:
Anoushka Shankar, Ravi Shankar's daughter and sitar master as well, will perform for the first time in Chile. My father (80 years old) saw Ravi in 1973 in a sold out Theater in Santiago. He told me that a lot of people smoked weed during the show that night: The venue was full of smoke, so, Ravi said to the crowd in the middle of his performance: "stop smoking please or I'm leaving" 🤣
Today I go to this show with my wife and my dad, as a gift for him; a tribute to his musical history and the direct influence he had on me to finally become a professional musician; on my love for music, and my interest in new fascinating sounds from all over the world.I'm quite excited! Go!
