Gentle Relaxation

Overview:

Join us in the park and move your body!

We are inviting you to our workshop during which we will try to connect with our bodies and nature. The workshop is comprised of two parts - 1) Co-created movement in pairs and 2) Progressive muscle relaxation. All of these can be done standing, sitting, or lying down, depending on your needs.

The workshop will take around an hour, but you are more than welcome to stay in the park with us and enjoy nature or leave early if you'd like!

What do I need? Comfortable clothes! If you want to lie or sit on the grass, you can also bring a blanket or a mat, but it's not necessary.

Summary:

This is a masked event. FFP2 respirator masks will be provided for those who can mask.
An accessible bathroom (with step free access) is available in the Marlay Craft Courtyard (~300m from where we’ll be) and in the Marlay Lower Courtyard.
All parts of the workshop can be done standing, sitting, or lying down.
There will be an introduction to communication and consent before the workshop begins.
If at any point the touch, activity, or your partner brings you any discomfort or pain, please let them, a facilitator, and / or another Queer Shed member know immediately.
The workshop will include the option of working in pairs, but you do not have to if you don’t feel comfortable doing so.
