  6. well I figured out why Roxbury gets used west of 16th

    it's because it's the ONLY east-west that doesn't get a 4-8% slope marker

also it has de facto bike lanes - it got narrowed there a while ago to three lanes, two traffic and a turn - but the pavement isn't up to grade for Seattle (which does apparently own that street in its entirety) won't certify them

Should I add the "commonly used" to reflect that reality? but only to 18th at very most.

eta: WAIT NO IT'S JUST FURTHER WEST

and still less steep but still over 4%

So I guess will NOT be adding that until and unless the bike lanes become official

  11. Okay. Streets need labelling. Plus a few other things. But I think this is a decent first real draft.

It did not fit like a glove. But I think it _looks_ like it fit like a glove - I honestly keep forgetting where the western boundary is and am kinda proud of that - and that's what matters for usability.

Also made a few clarifying edits on City of Seattle again. I'd say "the way they had it wasn't _wrong_..." but... some of it was. xD

  12. Something else i'm trying to figure out is that it's pretty clear that people are using sidewalks on 4th Ave SW between 102nd and Roxbury, then along Roxbury heading west. I'm not gonna label them bike paths because they are clearly ordinary sidewalks, but they're being used _as_ bike paths. And I don't know whether or even how to mark that.

The section on 4th Ave has houses with entrances facing that sidewalk, and parking. The section on Roxbury itself has _nothing_ facing it until basically 14th Ave SW and I'm _almost_ willing to mark that as a bike path, except it's so narrow.

But it's absolutely the safest-looking way I've seen to get to downtown / 16th and Roxbury.

  13. Rat City, team, you gotta get incorporated and get yourselves some bike infrastructure, it is dire

I salute your bike riders because holy shit, there are popular routes I am _not_ sending people to on my map. They're too dangerous, but you use them anyway and I respect that

BUT I GOTTA QUESTION IF YOU BIKE THERE

There's a popular route on 108th that gets less popular where I stop it, but is still used by a fair number of people. It's the third most popular way to get to the one (1) route across I-5. It uses Myers and 6th Ave S. Myers looks like a deathtrap so I have a question:

    IS IT SECRETLY OKAY?

Because it sure doesn't _look_ okay. It looks like a good way to die.
