#RaspberryPi3 #GoPiGo3 Carl still runs on 8 NiMH batteries, and just today received his 13th set of new Eneloop 2000mAH AA cells.
His “Playtime” was down to 3.5 hours with a 3 hour charge time after 1421 cycles. (In the past I have replaced his batteries after 800-900 docking cycles.)
It really is a miracle that after more than 7 years (59,521 hours) of “life” - GoPiGo3 Carl is still walkin’, talkin’, and lis’nen to me. (And I’m still telling him nearly every day: “Hey Carl, Go To Sleep!”

Le #raspberrypi3 souffre un peu mais c'est tout à fait utilisable.
Mon #rspb est reconnu sans rien faire.
En fouinant sur l'utilisation de #gqrx j'ai découvert qu'on peut le faire bosser avec un un autre soft pour adapter la fréquence d'écoute en continu de façon à écouter des objets en orbite, dont l'#iss. -

▪️ create a little storage system for my microSD cards so I can swap them in and out (I won't wipe the one that has #Ubuntu on it, but set it aside so I can use it in the future)I have a hunch I will ask 🎅 for a new Raspi this coming Christmas... maybe the #RaspberryPi500 😅

Every board has its app - all my autonomous robots enjoy the low power sipping with just enough processing for their needs with various Pi boards.
Rockchip that I tried hogged the bot's battery down real fast, and ran too hot when taxed hard.
Carl has speech reco, text-to-speech, OpenCV vision, totally autonomous and "plays" 8 hours before needing to return to his dock. "Alive" for 7 years.

A question for #linux experts..I have a USB stick, which served as a live USB for #LMDe, but after that I've formatted it and now I have a few movies there...but in Linux Mint they are correctly shown, in #raspberrypi3 I use for my TV, it still shows #lmde6 live USB..how's that possible?

Just got a #FireStick for our #LG #TV because it is about 8 years old and #WebOS getting sluggish on it #PriveLiveNHL was 1 frame per second :AngeryCat:
Nice thing about the new stick is installing #APKs. I installed #Kodi on it and #NewPipe bye #YouTube #ads. The stick was cheaper than updating from the #RaspberryPi3 that was running #Libreelec but couldn't keep up to the Kodi #addons -

@stefano @gyptazy your enthusiasm about #FreeBSD made me installing it on my #RaspberryPi3 in the weekend.
I’m still experiencing with it, I don’t actually want to run any workload on it.
Also I spent 3+ hours to try to make the WiFi works… I gave up.
Later I want to try #NetBSD (or maybe #FreeBSD again) as a router and reverse proxy for my #Proxmox. -

@seediffusion I have a #RaspberryPi3 here that keeps crashing, still don't know why. It goes down when I least expect it, so I'm using #UpSiteDown to keep an eye on it. As it runs #PiHole, it's kind of good to know when it dies so I can fix it.

Upgraded from ASUS RT-AX58U to TPLink AX-73. I don't want to hear it. More antennas, snappier interface and better wifi throughput. I said I DON'T want to hear it, ASUS fans. I've had three ASUS routers shit on me in the last eight years. Time for a change.
In the process, checked clients and realised my plucky little #Raspberrypi3 running #Octoprint is still connected, despite not having printed anything on it for like a year or so. Updating to Octoprint 1.9.2 now. Man these things are solid and dependable, run forever on zip electricity.

@SnaretheMonkey @agturcz @jan I've mostly been sticking with #ZigBee and #WiFI for now and haven't been really interested in trying to add #ZWave on top of it. I also only have a #RaspberryPi3 powering my #HomeAssistant so I'm not sure it can handle adding Z-Wave also. @Colone1Sanders7
