Es steht zumindest Gigabit Ethernet beim #raspberry5, aber jetzt läuft erst mal alles wieder. Das Projekt gehe ich in ein paar Jahren sicher irgendwann an. Und dann am besten ein nacktes Linux und alles selbst konfigurieren. OPNsense kann ja jeder 🙃

ich bau grade an einer Lösung, brütende Vögel live auf youtube zu streamen- übers Mobilfunknetz. Jetzt hab ich mit #raspberry5 und #restreamer ne lösung die läuft - aber youtube ist die Datenrate zu gering und bricht ab.

Farbe beim Trocknen zuzuschauen ist ja wirklich ähnlich spektakulär…

Heute habe ich ein Experiment mit dem Raspberry PI 5 gestartet. Den Berry habe ich in ein passiv kühlendes Gehäuse eingebaut. Auf einer SD-Card habe ich Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Desktop installiert. Die Sache läuft erstaunlich flott, d. h. eine deutliche Leistungssteigerung im Vergleich zum PI 4. Nun muß sich zeigen, ob die Passivkühlung ausreicht. Im Hintergrund läuft die ROON-Bridge und streamt von meinem ROON-Music-Server in der Cloud.
