New #review today: "Between #JoBergerMyhre's bowed double bass, eight string bass, and extended guitar techniques, plus the Iranian percussion, there is a diverse array of unusual sounds coming together across these seven tracks, such that it puts it far outside the standard #jazz idiom, in fact it’s often closer to electric chamber music." #ExposeOnline #RareNoiseRecords #AvantJazz #ChamberJazz http://expose.org/index.php/articles/display/jo-berger-myhre-penta-3.html

Legendary drummer Jack DeJohnette passed away just a few days ago. He played with icons such as Miles Davis and many others.
More recently, he also performed on one of my favorite records of the past ten years: #Mikrojazz (Neue Expressionistische Musik), by Philipp Gerschlauer and David Fiuczynski. Released on #RareNoiseRecords in 2017, this album is an absolute masterpiece and I can't recommend it enough.
