  1. #KTMB, not only do they support #NFC card payments to go through their gates and hop on a train - they also charge nothing if you’re only passing through and exit at the same station, unlike #RapidKL which still charges you, and is still locked to using only #TouchNGo, which is pretty ridiculous.

    Also I think it’s kind of a scam that you only get parking discounts at an
    #MRT station if you ride the MRT, instead of any (train) commuters at a station that also serves other trains like #KTM and #ETS. KTMB ftw (we don’t talk abt their KTM train frequency tho).

  8. #Prasarana is aiming to enable #creditcard and #debitcard payments at ticketing counters, including for the #My50 travel pass, at all #rail #station by July next year.

    They would also be introducing an open payment system for all rail services by the 4th quarter in 2025.

    Prasarana also clarified that My50 travel pass, which is only available to #Malaysian, can be purchased at all rail #stations using #cash or #QRPay, or at key #bus hubs using cash.

  9. #RapidKL denied viral post that there was explosion or fire involving a Mass #Rail #Transit (#MRT) #train along #Kajang line on Wednesday afternoon.

    The #incident only involved sound of a #spark from train number 28, not explosion or fire.

    The #alarm of the MRT #track #power supply system was triggered at nearby station.

    For #safety reason, the train was removed from service at #TamanMutiara #station and passengers were asked to board the next train.

  10. A bus lane trial project will be implemented along Jalan Genting Kelang in Kuala Lumpur starting 15 Nov.

    The bus lane would operate during morning peak hours from 6am to 9am on weekdays.

    It will involve 47 buses covering five routes:
    - 250 (LRT Wangsa Maju—Lebuh Ampang)
    - 200 (UIA Gombak—Monorel Chow Kit)
    - 202 (Hab Wira Damai—Lebuh Ampang via Gombak)
    - 251 (AU3 Jentayu—Chow Kit)

    Someone else relies on parents to take them to the nearest LRT station as there aren’t any feeder #bus stop within a walkable distance.

  12. #RapidKL has announced that the operational hours for its dedicated #buslane on Jalan Ampang is being expanded.

    The special lane now set to run during evening #peakhour starting from November 15.

    When trials began in July, it was announced that the dedicated #bus lane would be in place during the 6am to 9am peak hours on weekdays.

    Now, it will also operate from 4.30pm to 7pm from Monday to Friday (except public holidays).

  13. The Light Rail Transit (#LRT) service for the #KelanaJaya Line is expected to achieve a three-minute frequency during peak hours by the end of this month. The current train frequency for peak hours is 3.8 minutes.

    As for the #Kajang Mass Rapid Transit (#MRT) Line, train wheel replacements are underway, and the targeted train frequency during peak hours is set to improve from six minutes to four minutes by end of January 2024.

  15. An opposition MP wants the government’s assurance that its decision to revive the construction of five #LRT stations in the #KlangValley will not affect the progress of the #LRT3 project.

    As of the third quarter of 2023, about 86.5% of the LRT3 project had been completed and it is expected to be completed by March 2025.

    Last week, it was announced that five LRT stations in the Klang Valley that were cancelled in 2018 would be revived.

  16. Good news for those living in #Selayang. #RapidKL has announced a new #MRT #feederbus route and the trial run for #T152 to Metro Prima will start next Monday, 23 October.

    Bus T152 connects the MRT #Putrajaya Line station of Metro Prima in Kepong to the 99 Wonderland Park at Pusat Bandar Utara Selayang, and it passes by areas with high density.
