  1. Even though Rannoch still sounds a bit raw on this album and doesn't yet play with the finesse of “Conflagrations,” it's still a good album. Definitely better than a lot of what's being released today.

I would recommend everyone to listen to “Conflagrations” to get a feel for Rannoch. But if you already know that album, you can give this work from 2013(!) a chance. It's worth it and already showed the band's great talent back then!

#Rannoch Moor a few years back. Easier to walk on than is usually quoted although I got here down Loch Laidon on a packraft.
    #Argyll #Autumn #bog

The photograph is of orange coloured moorland with a lochan in the centre. The lochan is heavily vegetated and in the process of transitioning to marsh. There are biggish hills in the background but no snow on them

  20. A rainy Sunday means it's time for a new review, tonight it's the turn of #Rannoch with their new album #Conflagrations from #Willowtip Records.

This is an amazing slice of progressive death metal, and a certain winner for fans of Opeth!
