Just watched a cool short (~10 min) video about mental health entitled Why Your Advice Doesn't Work On Yourself.

The video addresses Solomon's paradox, which was a new term to us. It basically means that you find it much easier to give advice to others than to accept it yourself/ves.

This made us amusingly realise that we've kind of attempted to resolve the paradox in an entirely unorthodox way by dissociating into a system with multiple, lovely headmates 🤭 :PluralPrideRingsSymbol:

And maybe everything is a distraction. Maybe life is just one big distraction from the reality that we will all die someday. But before #covid, I had hope that life could be more than that. Before the #pandemic, I felt like I could see a hypothetical future for myself that was better than the present. But now, with #covid19, #ClimateChange, war, and increasing #Capitalist exploitation, that future doesn't seem to exist. It's like I have no future.

I think we're all going through similar realizations and #ExistentialCrises. I think we all feel it on some level. We know the world can't go on as it is, and we know we're likely to be swept up in the crash. We aren't as in control as much as we like to tell ourselves.
