Something uplifting for a change of pace. Weirdo #Surf #AlternativeRock from Russia.

Morrn 🤘🏻
I not yet sure what to make out of this record. Very intriguing the least.
A #Live album of #german band #Alkaloid, which mixes their usual #ProgressiveDeathMetal with #classical and clean female vocals. It will test even fans of the band for sure.

#TonalThreat is not linked to any day or reason, so here are the masters of #Djent / #Math #Metal #Meshuggah. Pure perfection, as always.
Rating: 9,5/10

The new and last #Megadeth is mediocre at best. Maybe the reason is, that i haven't bought and kept a record from them in over 30 years. And yes, i almost idolize their old stuff. #UnpopularOpinion #RandomMusickMayhem

Someone mentioned #Mushroomhead yesterday. I think, they deserve a spin.

The new #Kreator is just to much of "more of the same" and the epic parts are sounding too forced.
I haven't found a banger either. Would be a first for me with this band.
For what i expect of them, it's almost a mediocre record.

Just a reminder:
This dense cacophony of avant noise is created by only 3 musicians. Baritone sax, bass guitar and drums.

Album and band title of the month. 😁

More interesting releases (2) than on Friday (1) for me. 😅 #RandomMusickMayhem

#ZU from #Italy are back. With a BANG.
An #instrumental rollercoaster, blending #Metal #Avantgarde #Punk and #Jazz. And the occasional #Saxophone.
Wow. @brian

#ElParaisoRecords is known for young and progressive bands. #Kronstad23 from #Norway are no exception. I would compare them with jazzy prog juggernauts #Elephant9.
Special shoutout - and first on this account - for my buddy @brian. Keeping up the tradition.

Maybe a little on the short side for a full-length (only 31 mins running time), but a hard hitting #BlackMetal album nonetheless. #StreamsOfBlood with their current album "Vermaledeit"
Personal Rating: 8,5/10

55 years ago #Hawkwind released a #Psychedelic masterpiece with "X In Search Of Space".

Third time is a charm.
A musical interpretation of the works of H.R. Giger. As expected, dark and broody. Heavy on #Electronic variations. But they did hit the mark nicely. I think, headphones can help exploring this.
Personal Rating: 8,5/10

The most impressive session #drummer i have ever heard. Great album as well. 🤘

Highly underrated melodic #TechDeath from #Canada. Their final and best album.

I don't really know how to describe this. Cacophonic weirdness, maybe. 😁

Ausnahmsweise Musik mal hier. Schrankreparatur macht damit mehr Spaß. 🤘🏻 (Auf der Playlist sind auch Totenmond zu finden)
Gibt nicht viele harte deutschsprachige Bands ohne hochnotpeinliche Texte.

Maybe i have some #Sludge fans in my contact list. Recommended. 🤘

Maybe the best german extreme band ever. One of them at least.
-
The combination of #BlackMetal with #Classical is nothing new, but Aquilus (from Down Under) don't sound like their northern counterparts, which have released albums with an orchestra. In this case the band is a one-man project with a lot of guest musicians, all of them for classical instruments. The album is from 2021 and i like it the most out of the released three, the others being 'Griseus' (2011) and 'Bellum II' (2024).
-
A bulldozer of an album. Sludgy death with blasts. Riffs, growls, shrieking and some more riffs. My only personal nitpick would be, that the title is the same as my favourite death metal album of the last 15 years. You may guess the band yourself.
I don't give ratings, because every album i post is a recommendation.

For the first time in 20 years i have found a progressive rock band, that isn't listed on Progarchives and has more than a demo or EP under its belt. And i listen to a LOT of progressive music. Astonishing.
-
Great blend of #Fusion #ProgRock #Jazz and #Electronic, paired with some Brit humour.

The only #PowerMetal outfit i can listen to. But in this case all day. 😎

Fantastic #Progressive #BlackMetal. It's a shame, they haven't released something since 2016. Their other works are also prime examples of what this genre is capable of.
-
Still stoked from Tuesdays concert. Maybe they are really my favourite metal band. Unique.

#Tolkien themed #DungeonSynth at its finest. Huge #Mortiis Era I vibes.
I am pretty sure, that most will first think #BlackMetal, if they look at the artwork. 😅#NowPlaying #RandomMusickMayhem #Electronic #Synth #MorningMusic

This is a German melodic death metal band called Fragments Of Unbecoming. I didn't listened to their other releases, but in 2004 I bought their first one and it's a little gem of ferocity and melody.Fragments Of Unbecoming - Skywards Chapter II - A Sylphe's Ascension
