#buttsnutefrosk #RanaTemporaria er best kjent som “frosk” eller “vanlig frosk”. Den er veldig lik spissnutefrosk, som også er registrert her på Hedmarken. Jeg tror mitt bilde er en buttsnute. Navna er litt misvisende, det er ikke veldig lett å skjønne om snuten er butt eller spiss. Buttsnutefrosk finner du over hele landet, mens spissnutefrosk finner du bare på søndre deler av Østlandet opp til Hamarområdet og ned langs kysten omtrent til Stavanger.

Porvarinlahdella olivat kutuhommat täydessä vauhdissa, mutta Rubikon-kuvat epäonnistuivat. Siksi tässä sammakkokuva Viikin ojasta puolilta päivin. At the peak last year there were about forty frogs. Perhaps these were those that spent the winter in a state of torpor in the mud at the bottom of our little pond. Getting a head start on those that made their abode in hollows behind the dry stone retaining walls and deep in the leaf litter. ...
