Gestern fiel der offizielle #Ferdium -Server aus. Ich konnte meine vielen Arbeitsbereiche und Dienste in meiner #Rambox -Alternative nicht nutzen. Das war furchtbar. Aber auch nur kurz. Denn ich habe jetzt kurzerhand meinen eigenen Feridum-Server via #Docker hochgezogen. Jetzt synchronisiere ich gegen meinen eigenen Ferdium-Server. 🥳

Ich freu mich jeden Tag über #Ferdium. https://ferdium.org/ Total tolles Werkzeug! Super sind die Arbeitsbereiche, die man mit entsprechend Diensten bestücken kann. Schöne Alternative zu #Ferdi oder #RamBox

A few days ago I lamented about how I couldn't keep track of my 101 apps from 101 services and platforms. Then, I discovered the magic of all-in-one messaging apps!

I am pretty annoyed that I only discovered them *now* but better late than never!
After trying out about half a dozen of them, I settled on #Rambox (for work) and #Ferdium (personal). Found out about Beeper too.
I added #socialmedia #chat accs.

Le bon côté des solutions centralisées (de manière excessive et inutile en plus) et qui génèrent des gros #SPOF.

C'est vraiment parce que c'est la seule appli qui fonctionne avec l'OAuth de la boîte que je l'utilise...

Rambox has been having an outage since earlier this morning. I was already unpleased with their freemium model. Found out about Fredium via r/rambox, so giving it a go.

While I like the idea of software like #rambox that brings all those webapps into one window, I never liked the lack of control in the pre-made Electron-based solutions.

Firefox provides per-tab containers and I wondered whether the DIY-route might be a good idea too.

After using Rambox myself for a long time, I finally had a look at the new-old non-community edition. That is, until I was required to get an account.

Bye bye, Rambox. Now I'm searching for new software too.

Benötige Rat von anderen #Signal Nutzern. Gibt es für Desktops gute Alternativen zur @signalbot App? Sehr gern ähnlich zu #Rambox. Und ja ich weiß das Rambox nur Chromium ist und dort kein Signal existiert da Signal keine WebApp hat, aber das System von Rambox gefällt mir.
