Next we have “Fantasia on Christmas Carols”, a single movement folk song-based choral composition by Ralph Vaughan Williams 🇬🇧 (https://youtu.be/KaTxLnvM3UA?si=L07Q2saH80dMrmuu). It’s part of a series of English folk carols collected and arranged by RVW and his friend & collaborator musicologist Cecil Sharp (November 22, 1859-June 23, 1924)🇬🇧. It features several quotations of other carols (“The First Nowell”, etc).
