India Safari Holiday Tours: A Complete Guide to India’s Wild Side

India's wildlife is not the wide-open savannah of Africa, and that is exactly what makes it so fascinating. Here, a safari can take you through sal forests, dry grasslands, bamboo thickets and wetlands where a tiger may appear without warning. For travellers planning an India safari holiday, the experience is about far more than spotting a Bengal tiger. It can include leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, crocodiles, hundreds of bird species and the landscapes and communities that surround […]

  8. #Jaipur was my last stop in #Rajasthan. A city packed with highlights like the Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort and the Monkey Temple. But it was also the most chaotic city I visited in the region.

There’s a lot to see in Jaipur, and architecturally it’s impressive, but walking around the city exhausted me. Endless traffic, noise, crowds and trash everywhere. After a few days, I felt pretty overwhelmed.

  9. Next city, #Jodhpur ended up being one of the cities that really drew me in while traveling through #Rajasthan

The old town and its market feel like a step back in time, chaotic, colorful and full of life at every corner

Then there’s the Blue City itself, with houses climbing up the hills and giving Jodhpur that unique look.

And above it all, the massive Mehrangarh Fort dominating the skyline, impossible to ignore and even better once you’re inside.

  10. Just arrived in #Rajasthan, starting with #Udaipur, the famous City of Lakes. And I have to say, I liked it more than I expected

It’s not just the lakes and the surrounding hills, or even the old town

There’s something about the whole setting that makes it a really enjoyable place to explore

But the highlight is the City Palace, massive, one of the biggest in #India (up there with #Mysore). Endless rooms, intricate details, and some great views over the lake.

  11. Fun fact: Rajasthan Royals, a franchise in the Indian Premier League #IPL, is based in Jaipur #Rajasthan but they play a lot of their *home games* in Guwahati #Assam which is nearly 2000kms (~1250 miles) from Jaipur. The two cities are literally at opposite ends of India. 😧

  12. Happy to announce we are finally taking a trip to #India next month! It will be our first trip in years and our first trip with a toddler. Spending time in #Delhi but also going to #Jaipur, #Pondicherry, and #Chennai for some much needed vacations! We have been to Jaipur multiple times but it will be our first time to the other two. Any recommendations for good things to do or good #vegetarian places or cafes?

  14. What Bhajanlal Sharma's Appointment as CM Says About the BJP's Past and Future in Rajasthan

Going by public popularity, Vasundhara Raje Scindia should have been the logical choice for chief minister. But the much-less-known Sharma has a history that fits with the Sangh parivar's agenda.

  16. Unbelievable (well, unless you watch #IPL regularly) win by Rajasthan Royals over Gujarat TItans just witnessed. Royals were 4 for 2 after 3 overs and I'd foolishly written them off after 12. What do I know? Absolutely love Indian Premier League #cricket.

  17. After a brief stay at Lahore, he reached Ajmer along with Sultan Shahab-ud-Din Muhammad Ghori, and settled down there. In Ajmer, he attracted a substantial
following, acquiring a great deal of respect amongst the residents of the city. Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti practiced the Sufi Sulh-e-Kul (peace to all) concept to promote understanding between Muslims and non-Muslims of the subcontinent.
