  1. 🌱 Building a rain garden isn't just about aesthetics—it's a powerful way to manage stormwater and support local wildlife.

Here's how to get started: • Design a depression in your yard to capture runoff.

    • Choose native plants that thrive in wet conditions.

    • Layer your plants for visual interest and biodiversity.

  2. Spent the morning sowing seeds for our Knob Hill Native Plant Gardens. I'm trying to grow Buttonbush from seed - if it sprouts, this shrub will go in our future #RainGarden.

Rain gardens collect and filter stormwater, reduce flooding, and provide habitat and food to wildlife.

  6. Just got word from Granada Hills that my #RainGarden #landscape project there is performing admirably. No water has flowed off the property. about 1500 sq ft of roof runoff is directed into it and the nearest sensor has registered 4.2" in the last 24hrs.

That's about 4,000 gallons captured and sunk.

  7. PS - universe - (#plantstodon ? ) Where's my #witchy #greenwitch ppl at? doing final plant installs in the yard and I love reading about plant properties in traditional/modern #spellcraft.

It genuinely romanticizes gardening tasks for me, which is *badly* needed mental entertainment when trying to tame the volunteer turnout in the #rainGarden. (Asters - calm the f down!!! 😆 ) Anyway I have many skeptical bones in my body but I'll read about Plant Lore All Day Long 😆
